EqX is proud to introduce you to our wonderful Herd of performance horses! Our horses are proficient not only at being ridden or driven but have an amazing wealth of experience from barrel racing to cross country eventing to stadium jumping and so much more. These are well-trained performance horses who as our partners in the arena must be able to walk, trot, canter, jump, longe, long-line or drive at nearly all student skill levels. Most of our horses are privately owned and their owners and sponsors are very generous in making them available for your EqX lessons. Many of our horses have several years of experience in the therapeutic riding world as well. All bring their unique personalities and skills willingly to the arena and can't wait to meet you!
NOTE:
A “hand” is the traditional way to measure a horse's height. Long before we had measuring tapes, people would measure the horse by placing their hands sidewise one above the other and count from the ground to the top of the horse's withers. 1 hand now equals 4 inches. Can you figure out how many inches or hands each horse is?"
